Chocoholic.com has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the www.chocoholic.com website. Chocoholic.com supplies your recipient information to our chocolatier/suppliers to fulfill your order. With the exception of the above, we do not share personal information with any other third parties, except if required by law. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer our Web site. Your IP address is used to identify your shopping cart.
Our site uses order forms that enable customers to order products. To process orders we collect the customer's name, email, address and credit card information as well as the address information for the recipient. This contact information is used to process and send orders. We also use this information to contact customers or recipients in case there are problems with fulfilling the order. If a customer chooses our Reminder Service, we collect the name and email to send these reminders to the requestor. Financial information that is collected is soley used to bill customers for products. The recipient information is forwarded to our chocolatiers/suppliers who ship products directly to the customer. All of our chocolatiers/suppliers are bound by agreement not to use the recipient address information for any purpose other then to deliver Chocoholic.com products. No financial information is passed on to any of our chocolatiers/suppliers. We run periodic contests in which we ask contestants for contact information. This includes their name and email to contact them if they win, and their address to ship the winner their prize. The name, city and state of or our contest winners are posted on our WEB site, to provide recognition for their achievement. The contact information of our contestants is not used for any other purpose.
Other than the above, we use the information in our database to keep our customers informed of seasonal changes and additions of new products and chocolatiers by periodically sending informational updates to our mailing list.
