Recipe of the Month
Chocolate Fun Fondue Sauce
This recipe makes a lovely fondue but it can also double as a sauce for your very best ice cream sundaes! We thank Rachel Doppelmeyer for this delightful recipe of fondue fun.

Ingredients

- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 1/2 Tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (or may substitute 1/8 teaspoon almond extract or 1 Tablespoon rum --Ed.)

Directions

- Melt the chocolate in top of a double boiler or very carefully in a microwave oven on low.
- Add butter, stir until melted. Slowly add the regular milk and the sweetened condensed milk. Stir well.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla extract (or other flavoring), stir.

Pour over a thick slice of pound cake, or place in a bowl in the center of a plate of strawberries to serve as a dip... Yummm!
Will keep 2 weeks refrigerated.
